The Fulx Capacitor project has been a total success. We got the schematics by freeze-framing Back to the Future 2 and, after some tinkering, we were able to build our own time machine. Naturally, there were a few hiccups. Over the last few months time has been unintentionally accelerated.
Avcon came and flew by at break-neck speeds. Loved it, the Adelaide guys were great as always. I got the second issue of The New Way done just in time, releasing it exactly one year after the release of issue one. Then a surprise, I got a table at Manifest after all! Got straight back to work – posters, bookmarks and the ever-growing chibi-lineup. Barely registered the weeks between these two cons and suddenly, I was at Manifest.
It was cold there. And fun. Actually, these two cons made me realise that there are a few people out there who actually follow all my work. I have fans… PLURAL! Holee crap, the time machine must have jumped me into a parallel universe by accident! I think I like it there though. It's encouraging, makes me wanna make more stuff.
Finally, time is slowing down again and maybe we can get back to regular updates and new artwork. This whole thing has made me realise what the Doc was right: time travel is too dangerous and unpredictable for any mortal to control. I'm going back to the labs to dismantle this infernal machine so I can return to making comics in real-time.
